Diego Saez-Gil, Co-founder & CEO

As Co-founder & CEO, Diego is responsible for creating the vision and product strategy for the company. He leads the Business Development and Team Building efforts of inbed.me. Diego holds a Masters Degree in Management from Barcelona’s LaSalle Business School and a BS in Business from Universidad de Tucumán (Arg.). Before starting inbed.me, Diego co-founded Off Track Planet, the ultimate Backpacker’s Online Guide to Travel, growing a community of more 120,000 travelers from around the world. In a previous life he was a consultant for PwC and Altran. Originally from Argentina, Diego has also lived in Spain, France, the United States and Chile. He has backpacked to more than 25 countries and lived in hostels several times throughout his life.

Alex Torrenegra, Co-founder & CTO

As Co-Founder and CTO, Alex is responsible for the technology behind inbed.me. He oversees the long-term technical direction of the company, and leads the team of awesome hackers and designers. Alex is a serial entrepreneur with extensive experience in Travel Marketplaces. In 1994, Alex began studying Automation Engineering at Universidad de la Salle (Bogota, Colombia) but after two years he left school to focus on his business ideas full-time. Alex moved to New York City in 2000 and has since co-founded numerous startups including Torrenegra Labs, Voice123.com, LetMeGo.com, and Localo.com among others. Alex is originally from Colombia, and has traveled all over the world.

Chris Piazza, Co-founder & VP of Global Inventory

As Co-founder & VP of Global Inventory, Chris is responsible for building the company’s portfolio of global accommodations. Chris holds a MBA from the Owen Graduate School of Management at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN and a BS in Finance from Fordham University in New York City. Before starting inBed.me, Chris worked in Private Wealth Management at Morgan Stanley and Credit Suisse, where he specialized in derivative trading strategies. Born and raised in New York City, Chris has also lived in Hong Kong, Los Angeles, Nashville and Germany. He has backpacked across Europe and Asia and has stayed in many hostels throughout his journeys.

Juanda Zapata, Lead Developer

Juanda is responsible for bringing to reality the product and features of inBed.me, by hacking the most beautiful lines of codes a human being can create. Before joining inBed.me Juanda co-founded Yoga Digital, a digital development agency in Bogotá, Colombia. Previously he worked as CTO at Gaming Culture Colombia during 7 years. Juanda holds a degree in Computing Engineering from Escuela Colombiana de Ingeniería Julio Garavito. Juanda is passionate about travel, technology and entrepreneurship.

Jessica Festa, PR & Social Media

Jessica is responsible for informing the world about our incredible product. Along with having a BA/MA in Communication & Rhetoric from the State University of New York at Albany, Jessica has also planned public relations and marketing campaigns for various companies including the Capital District Community Gardens, the Center for Donation and Transplant, the Downtown Albany Business Improvement District, and Aid the Nations. While she was born and raised in New York, you can often find Jessie backpacking around foreign destinations, staying in hostels along the way. Along with working for inBed.me, you can find her travel writing at Gadling, Matador Network, Europe a la Carte, and on her own blog, Jessica on a Journey.

Sebastian Maglio, South America Director

As Spanish Markets Manager , Sebastian is responsible for adapting and executing the global marketing and accommodation strategies into the Spanish markets & Brazil. Sebastian holds a BS in Business from Universidad de Tucumán (Argentina). Before starting inBed.me Sebastian acted as angel investor at Off Track Planet, the ultimate Backpacker’s Online Guide to Travel, growing a community of more 120,000 travelers from around the world. He has also worked as a consultant for the Argentinean Government and for PriceWaterhouseCoopers. Sebastian was born and raised in the north of Argentina. Nowadays living in Buenos Aires, his love for Latin America and Brazil drives his passion in this new job!
